A place like London alone has seen many of its teenagers die on its streets. A shooting of a 17 year old is no longer just sensational headlines; it has now turned out to be a harsh reality. According to the BBC, between February 2008 and January 2009 there were 10,330 offences involving knives in London. In 2008 till the beginning of 2009, 43 young lives were lost and many seriously injured. Sadly, these brutal deaths are no longer a surprise to young people.

مكانٌ كمدينةِ لندن شهد الكثير من شبابها يموت في ضواحي شوارعها, مصرع شبابٌ في سن السابعة عشر لم يعد عنوان مثير في الصحف كما كان ولكن اصبح واقعاً مريرا. وفقاً للبي بي سي, من شهر شباط من سنة 2008م الى شهر كانون الثاني من عام 2009 م فقد ارتكبت 10,330 جريمة بإستعمال السكاكين في مدينة لندن. وسنة 2008 الى اوائل عام 2009 ثلاث واربعون لقيوا مصرهم والبعض باصابات بالغة الخطورة. وللأسف هذة الجرائم الشنيعة لم تعد مفاجأة للشباب.

It has become so frequent that a lot us have experienced or even witnessed a loss of a loved one due to gun or knife crime. While papers are creating media hype, and expanding their readership, politicians are desperately proposing new laws to crack down on gun and knife crime in the UK.

وصل الامر الى انها اصبحت كثيرة التكرار حتى ان الواحد منا مر بتجربة او حتى شاهد احد ال قربين الى قلبة يلقي حدفة امام ام عينيه لاحد الجرائم بالاسلحة البيضاء او الالية. في حين ان الاعلام يتضخم, والقُرّاء للصحف تكثر, والساسه يصارعون على ان يوقفوا تلك الجرائم في المملكة البريطانية المتحدة.

Youth workers are finding it demanding, and are often out of their depths to reach out to those that have been caught in a life of danger on the streets. Endless charities have been set up to support families who have been affected; however critics still question how useful it is for the individuals who are dangerously at risk on the roads. The prison system is said to used to rehabilitate, but is that enough,to change somebody’s lifestyle? What is the actual solution to this disheartening problem?

الشباب يجد ان هذة الحياة تطلب الكثير الى ان تتعمق به الى ان يخطف في خطر حياة الشارع. العديد من التبرعات اقيمت لتنمية بعض المال لمساعدة العائلات المتضرره ولكن النقاد ما زالوا يتسألون عن مدى مساعدة هذة التبرعات لمن هم في خطر في تلك الشوارع. السجون تلجاء الى نظام اعادة تأهيل ولكن هل هذا كاف لتغير حياة شخص؟ ماهو السبيل الصحيح لحل قسوة القلوب هذة؟

There is something about Islam which is captivating people, both young and old, wealthy an poor. Some say Islam is the religion of peace, yet some youngsters are jokingly calling it the religion of the roadside. Nowadays seeing ruthless gang members, humbled down and walk with a sense of inner peace, is of no surprise.

بالإسلام شئ ساحر جذاب للكبار والصغار, الاغنياء والفقراء. البعض يقول ان دين الاسلام دين السلام وبعض الشباب اصبحوا يسمونه مازحين انه دين من هم ضائعون في الشوارع اي لنجاتهم. فالان وبلا عجب يمكنك ان ترى اعظم او اخطر اعضاء العصابات يمشون في الارض هونا وسلام داخلي .

Many are in fact leaving behind reckless lifestyles of gangbanging and raving and are instead turning their lives around to the religion of Islam. Seeing beards instead of bandanas is starting to become the norm in many inner city areas. Young women are also accepting Islam in their hundreds and regaining the honourable status the Almighty has promised them.

فالكثير الان يترك حياة العصابات وتبادل الرصاص الحي, والاحتفالات الصاخبه, بحياة الاسلام. بدأنا ان نرى اللحاء بدل من البدندانات(قطعة من القماش ترمز الى شئ معين) في الكثير من الاحياء الشعبية. والكثير من الشابات يعتنقن الاسلام بالمئات راجين مرتبة الشرف لهن و ومنتظرن وعده سبحانة وتعالى.

Roadside2Islam is run by Abu Bakr, a young revert from southeast London. He has been a Muslim for 4 years and has devoted his time to changing the lives of those who have been caught in the fast life on the roads with the help of, Masikah Feesibilaah. After going to Umrah and being moved by everything around him, Abu Bakr decided that he was going to sharethis beautiful deen (lifestyle) with others and at the same time give back to the lost youths.
رود سايد تو إسلام او من حافة الشارع الى الاسلام يُدار من قبل ابوبكر, وهو من الشباب الذين اعتنق الاسلام وهو من منطقة جنوب لندن. وهو مسلم لاربعة اعوام وقد كرث وقتة لمساعدة الشباب في تغير مجرى حياتهم التي ادت بهم في تلك الحياة الخطرة بالعون من الاخ “ماسيكاه في سبيل الله”. بعد ان اعتمر ابوبكر حثة وشجعه كل ما ما رآه الى ان يشارك بتجربته مع الاخرين وفي ذات الوقت يساعد الشباب فإسترداد حياتهم المهضومه.

“When I went Saudi to do a short course on the Seerah of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) that opened my eyes to a lot of things. I know a lot brothers from the streets and I felt like I was not doing anything to help them. I thought you know what, when I get back I am going to start doing da’wah inshallah, so as soon as I got back I made the website” Roadside2Islam da’wah project is capturing moments which no other da’wah project does.

قال ابوبكر : “بعد ان ذهبت الى المملكة العربية السعودية لدراسة قصيرة لحياة رسول الله صلى الله علية وسلم فُتحت عيناي الى اشياء كثيرة. فكنت اعرف الكثير من اخوتي الذين ما زالوا في الشوارع و احسست باني لم اساعدهم بشئ. فقلت لنفسي, حينما ارجع على الفور سأبداء بدعوتهم ان شاء الله, حين رجوعي للوطن قمت بصنع موقع إلكتروني” رود سايد تو إسلام او من حافة الشارع الى الاسلام للدعوة كانت له مقتنيات لم يحظى بها موقع إلكتروني من قبل.

Roadside2Islam is raw from the streets and goes were nobody has gone before. The aim is to spread the word of God to those who need it, and to bring people to the light of Islam. Gangsters, convicts and the hardest men from the streets are humbled by this message, therefore Islam does what no politician with power or a businessman with money can do, and that is provide a purpose in life, and a sense of inner peace. Roadside2Islam will be delivering interviews from the roads, stories that will shake you and community changing documentaries. “It was a dream but now Alhamdulillah it’s a reality” – Abu Bakr

رود سايد تو إسلام او من حافة الشارع الى الاسلام, هو من اعمق الاماكن من الشوارع التي لم يذهب لها احد من قبل. وهدفنا هو نشر كلمة الحق سبحانة وتعالى لمن يحتاجها, وان ندعوا الناس الى نور الاسلام. العصابات, المساجين, واصرع الرجال من الشوارع الان متواضعون بسبب دعوة الاسلام ولهذا الاسلام استطاع ان يغير مالم يستطيع ان يغيرة انجح سياسي, او اثرى الاثرياء بمالة ان يعطيهم اياه اي وهو الغاية من سبب خلقهم والعبودية والسلام الداخلي. ” رود سايد تو إسلام او من حافة الشارع الى ظل الاسلام, سيستمر في ان يجري لقاءات من الشوارع و قصص تهزك لسماعها عن مجتمعات تغيرت بالوثائق. يقول ابوبكر: “كان حلماً ولكن الحمد لله اصبح حقيقة”.
